Teriyaki Ham Burgers

Teriyaki Ham Burgers

This burger is heavenly if you love to “pig” out. Studded with chunks of ham, these pork patties get a Hawaiian touch from the teriyaki sauce and grilled pineapple.

After you taste them, we guarantee the oinks won’t be coming from the pork.

Ingredients

MAKES 4 BURGERS

  • 1½ pounds ground pork
  • 2 ounces baked Virginia ham, cut into ½-inch dice
  • 1tablespoon peeled and minced fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce ¾ cup teriyaki sauce

Instructions

  • Gently combine all the ingredients except the teriyaki sauce in a large mixing bowl.
  • Form into 4 patties, each 1 inch thick.
  • Pour ¼ cup of the teriyaki sauce into a small bowl and brush all over the burgers.
  • Lightly oil the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the burgers until well done, 4 to 6 minutes per side, basting with the remaining teriyaki sauce once each side has browned.
