Ingredients:

For the Burger Patties:

  • 5 pounds ground beef (80% lean)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Cheese Sauce:

  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Sautéed Onions and Peppers:

  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper (green, red, or a mix), thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

For Assembling:

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Mayonnaise or aioli (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomato

Instructions:

    Prepare the Cheese Sauce:

  1. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the shredded provolone cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, milk, cream cheese, salt, and black pepper.
