Candy Cream Ice Cream/Calamansi Curd: The calamansi curd has largely mixed with the candy cream base, so I’ll evaluate them collectively.
The bottom has a candy, creamy, citrus taste that’s properly balanced—mild, fruity, refreshing. The feel is easy, not icy.
I’m unsure what a calamansi tastes like, however this pint does have a pleasant, delicate citrus taste to it. I see solely faint swirls of calamansi curd, not the “large swirls” from the pint description. The delicate citrus taste grew on me as I ate the pint—I wished extra after I was achieved.
Vanilla Pound Cake Chunks: These chunks really have the flavour and texture of pound cake with a touch of vanilla to it.
I obtained three enormous chunks, every perhaps an inch throughout. They’re delicate chunks—simple to chunk into, not soggy or icy.
Some ice cream flavors have generic doughy blobs they name cake items, however not this pint. These are nice cake chunks, flavorful and with a correct, dense pound cake texture.
General: A pleasant, refreshing summery taste that is perhaps improved with a thicker calamansi curd swirl and extra pound cake chunks. Molly Moons’ weblog suggests including their lemon curd topping, which appears like an ideal concept. I sit up for sampling this one once more subsequent 12 months—with lemon curd on prime. Beneficial.
