Honey Mustard Pork Burgers
These hearty, sausage-flavored burgers are perfectly paired with soft, flaky biscuits—ideal for Sunday brunch. You could also use a mixture of pork and beef for a variation.
Ingredients
MAKES 6 BURGERS
- 1 pound ground pork ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
- 1½ teaspoons chopped fresh thyme leaves or ¾ teaspoon dried
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- In a medium-size mixing bowl, gently combine the pork, 2 tablespoons of the honey, 1 tablespoon of the mustard, the salt, pepper, thyme, and nutmeg.
- Form the mixture into 6 patties, each ½ inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix together the remaining 2 tablespoons honey and 1 tablespoon mustard. Set aside for topping.
- Lightly oil the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the burgers to the desired degree of doneness, 4 to 6 minutes per side for medium.
