Herbed Chicken Burgers with Cranberry Horseradish Sauce
Herbes de Provence is the classic blend of dried herbs from southern France. You’ll find it in the spice section of your grocery store.
Make your own cranberry horseradish sauce by mixing together prepared horseradish and cranberry sauce to taste, or look for a prepared version, such as the one available from Stonewall Kitchen.
Ingredients
MAKES 6 BURGERS
- 2 pounds ground chicken ¼ cup minced shallots
- 2 tablespoons dried herbes de Provence
- 2 tablespoons chicken broth
- Cranberry horseradish sauce (see headnote), for topping
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients except the sauce, using your hands.
- Form into 6 patties, each 1 inch thick.
- Lightly oil the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the burgers to the desired degree of doneness, at least medium, 4 to 6 minutes per side, turning a few times.
