  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Teriyaki Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

For Assembling:

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 8 slices cooked bacon
  • 4 pineapple rings (fresh or canned)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced red onion
  • Mayonnaise or aioli (optional)

Instructions:

    Prepare the Teriyaki Glaze:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey, minced ginger, and minced garlic.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. If you want a thicker glaze, you can mix a teaspoon of cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry and add it to the sauce. Continue to cook and stir until the glaze thickens.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and set the teriyaki glaze aside.

    Prepare the Burger Patties:

  1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  2. Season the patties with salt and black pepper.

    Cook the Burger Patties:

  1. Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. If using a grill, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  3. Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium doneness.

Assemble the Hawaiian Hamburger Heaven Burgers:

  1. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  2. When the burger patties are almost done, brush each patty generously with the prepared teriyaki glaze.
  3. Add a slice of cooked bacon to each patty.
  4. Grill the pineapple rings for about 2 minutes per side until they have grill marks.

    Assemble the Burgers:

  1. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun.
  2. Add a cooked burger patty with bacon on the lettuce.
  3. Top the patty with a grilled pineapple ring.
  4. Add sliced red onion.
