The Philly Cheesesteak Sensation Burger is a fusion of two iconic American dishes: the Philly cheesesteak and the classic hamburger.

Here’s a recipe for a burger that brings together the flavors of a Philly cheesesteak in a delicious and satisfying sandwich:

Ingredients:

For the Burger Patties:

  • 5 pounds ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Philly Cheesesteak Filling:

  • 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices of provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For Assembling:

  • 4 hamburger buns

  • Sliced pickles (optional)

Instructions:

    Prepare the Burger Patties:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped green bell pepper, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

    Cook the Philly Cheesesteak Filling:

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the thinly sliced onions and green bell peppers to the skillet.
  3. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables become soft and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. Once the vegetables are cooked, remove them from the skillet and set them aside.

    Cook the Burger Patties:

  1. In the same skillet, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium doneness.
  2. During the last minute of cooking, place 2 slices of provolone cheese on each patty to melt.

  1. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
